Zip Lining!

Zip lining MWR tour? Yes please! When a trip to Forest Adventure popped up in the morale and welfare tour booklet for July, we didn't need to be asked twice to sign on the dotted line. Although the usual view of Mt. Fuji was thwarted by cloud cover, we still had an absolute blast maneuvering through the obstacles rigged into the trees beside Japan's most famous peak.

Forest Adventure is essentially an outdoor playground, offering visitors the opportunity to traverse several routes which include nets, tight ropes, zip lines, suspended ladders and the like. Fortunately the safety instruction prior to being set free in the park was also excellent. Between the thrills, we continued to marvel at the clever mechanisms that made the entire experience possible. By wearing a harness the entire time and unclipping and refastening carabiners one at a time as instructed, each of us was able to move through the obstacles freely while always safe and never free to fall.

Words really can't do justice to this scenic and thrilling experience, so below are some pictures and videos to sum it up. In conclusion...did we love it? Yes! Would we do it again when you come visit? In a heartbeat :-)!
