Sagamiko Illumination

In the midst of John's busy work schedule and our baby preparations, we recently took a much-needed break and ventured out to the Sagamiko Illumination. Only about an hour drive from our house, this promenade/amusement park combination is covered in more than 5 million LED lights and is a twinkling treat for the eye. It was a bit chilly, but wandering through the sparkling paths and tunnels was both eye-catching and relaxing. We topped the experience off with some savory Indian food on the way home and perfected the evening which provided just the break we were needing!

Japan often thinks it's Christmas...all the time.

This will look even more beautiful when the cherry blossoms are in bloom!

Tunnel!

Imagine these hanging lights with a breeze!

This section of the park had an ocean theme.

Strolling with the bump :-).

This display cycled through an impressive music, fountain and light show!

  2. This season it looks like it has been/will be open from 11/1/2014 - 4/12/2015. Maybe they have something else going on during your visit???

  3. Too bad, that would have been fun to see all the lights. Yes, we will have to check that out and see what they have next!
