Seth's Wedding

Ahhhh love. Nothing warms the heart like a good wedding, but the warm fuzzies often go far beyond the bride and groom.

This past weekend we had the privilege of attending the wedding of one of Jennifer's dear college friends, Seth, and his new bride, Maria, in Potomac Falls, VA. The "French country" wedding was artistically elegant, and it was very touching to be front and center to see such a wonderful friend find vocational happiness as he watched his bride-to-be walk down the aisle. The festivities also provided us with an incredible opportunity to spend time with longtime friends, as we had our own Cal Poly SLO Newman Center mini reunion at table 14 :-). Seth moved to Virginia right after college, and it truly is heartwarming to see that many of us are able to stay in touch and remain close after all this time.

An emotional Seth catches sight of his bride (this moment got Jennifer too).

The eager and happy couple!

Jennifer and Jessica - big smiles at the reception!

Rewind one day...We arrived in DC on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed dinner and monument viewing with Manny and Jessica. The National Mall, with its softly lit monuments, really is a sight to see at night. We encountered a bit of wind and rain, but it was well worth the adventure and time with incredible friends.

Lincoln and WWII Memorials!

Korean War Memorial (not to be missed if you're ever in DC)

Our travels continue after a brief pause for the wedding, but we feel infinitely blessed by the visit with friends and the opportunity to witness Seth and Maria's vows to one another. We love you all so much, and in a special way pray for Seth and Maria as they begin their new life together. Congratulations!
