Well, in light of recent family/lifestyle changes and our Atlanta objective to "simplify", we are foregoing sending Christmas cards this year. In addition to our international move, spending as much time with local family as possible and enjoying visits from CA family and friends, the biggest event in our lives since we left Japan happened earlier this month when we welcomed Dominic Joseph into our family. He is healthy and so far (knock on wood) a pretty mellow little guy, despite keeping us busy with the typical newborn activities of eating, sleeping and more mandated outfit changes than we ever thought possible in one day. Big brother JohnPaul is thus far adjusting well, receiving lots of love from grandmas and grandpas, giving Dominic lots of kisses, and otherwise doing his own one-and-a-half-year-old thing.
We've adjusted well to life in Atlanta and really appreciate being back in the United States. John has one successful semester of graduate school under his belt and we are treasuring this time closer to his family. John's dad retired in September and later that month John's sister gave birth to our newest nephew! We've also continued our road tripping with adventures to Asheville, NC, Greenville, SC and Annapolis, MD for John's ten year USNA reunion. John's parents also got to be present for his promotion ceremony in November.
We pray that each of you has a holy Christmas and a happy new year, abounding with love and blessings.
Much love to all,
John, Jennifer, JohnPaul and Dominic
